Volleyball Recap: West Memphis Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Memphis Home Education Association on Thursday, West Memphis Christian came back down to earth. The Black Knights fell just short of the Regents Lions by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Black Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

West Memphis Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Regents into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking six-point loss. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-20, 25-20, 22-25, 15-9.

With the loss, West Memphis Christian broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 20-3. As for Regents, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-6.

West Memphis Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against First Assembly Christian on the 30th. As for Regents, they will face off against Ingomar at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
