Football Recap: Evanston Falls Despite Big Games from Ayden Tillotson and Jackson Williams + How To Watch

Evanston extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 1-6. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 37-33 heartbreaker at the hands of the Jackson Hole Broncs. The Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Broncs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Evanston's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Jackson Williams, who threw for 202 yards and a pair of TDs, and Ayden Tillotson, who picked up 125 receiving yards and one score.

As for Jackson Hole, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points over those games.

Grant Johnson had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 460 yards and five touchdowns while completing 78.9% of his passes. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 303.2 passing yards per game. 165 of Johnson's passing yards were hauled in by Liam Logan, who also brought in two receiving touchdowns.

Coming up, Evanston will head out on the road to face off against Star Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Braves' defense has only allowed 10.9 points per game this season, so the Devils' offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Jackson Hole, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Powell at 5:00 p.m. The Broncs will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 47.83 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
