After losing to Armwood the last time they met, Riverview decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Sharks walked away with a 5-2 win over the Hawks on Tuesday.

Driston Marino spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on two hits and racked up eight Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Riverview's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Yadiel Rivera-Morales, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Chase Montminy also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Riverview hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Armwood struck out eight times.

Riverview's win bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Armwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

Riverview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-1 victory against Robinson on the 9th. As for Armwood, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 defeat against Lennard on the 9th.
