Baseball Recap: Dobson Comes Up Short

Dobson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-3 to the Mesa Jackrabbits. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jackrabbits this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 24-5 on Tuesday.

Steven Sthormes was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That hit was his first of the season.

Dobson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Mesa, their win ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-14.

Coming up, Dobson will look to defend their home field on Friday against Camelback at 4:00 p.m. As for Mesa, they will head out to take on Skyline at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Coyotes' pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so the Jackrabbits' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
