Soccer Recap: LaFayette Comes Up Short

After soaring to six goals the game before, LaFayette was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to the Northwest Whitfield Bruins. The loss continues a trend for the Ramblers in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost six in a row.

LaFayette's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 3-3. As for Northwest Whitfield, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. LaFayette will welcome Adairsville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. LaFayette has given up an average of 2.7 goals per game this season, so hopefully the team got some defensive drills in this week. As for Northwest Whitfield, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
