Baseball Game Preview: Bryan Golden Bears vs. Defiance Bulldogs

Bryan is 0-5 against Defiance since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Golden Bears will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bryan 4, Defiance 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Bryan is headed into Friday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Thursday. They lost 9-2 to Shawnee.

Meanwhile, Defiance strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against Perrysburg.

Garyson Smiddy tossed a big game, tossing 6.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits.

At the plate, Defiance let Logan Hutcheson and Brady Borton run wild. Hutcheson went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run, while Borton went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases. That's the most hits Hutcheson has posted since back in April.

Defiance pushed their record up to 14-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. As for Bryan, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.
