Basketball Recap: Edyn Knight and Chloe King Secure Win for Webber

Webber's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the North Clay Cardinals by a score of 48-41.

Webber was led to victory by Chloe King and Edyn Knight. King went 8 for 16 on her way to 21 points in addition to eight steals and five boards, while Knight went 8 of 18 on her way to 20 points and five rebounds. With that strong performance, King is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Maia Schultz, who posted four points.

Webber now has a winning record of 8-7. As for North Clay, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Webber will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Meridian on January 18, 2025. North Clay will also get a bit of a break before their next contest: they'll face off against Brownstown at 7:00 p.m. on January 27, 2025.
