Softball Recap: Fisher Wins Going Away Against St. Teresa

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against LeRoy, Fisher was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They put the hurt on the St. Teresa Bulldogs with a sharp 10-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bunnies, who have now won three matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Leah Graves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on nine hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Paige Hott was a standout: she scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomi Dickey, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Fisher now has a winning record of 4-3-1. As for St. Teresa, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.

Coming up, Fisher will take on Argenta-Oreana at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Bunnies' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bombers have averaged an impressive 7.6 runs per game this season. As for St. Teresa, they will head out on the road to take on Maroa-Forsyth at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
