Football Game Preview: Clifton Mustangs vs. East Orange Campus Jaguars

Clifton and East Orange Campus are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2020, but not for long. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clifton comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

On Friday, Clifton took a blow against Passaic County Tech, falling 42-12. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey football rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 64th).

Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last four games, East Orange Campus finally came back down to earth on Friday. They were just a hair shy of victory and fell 14-13 to West Orange. The contest marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, East Orange Campus fell to 6-1. As for Clifton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Clifton was dealt a bruising 47-18 loss at the hands of East Orange Campus in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Mustangs, Sa'eed Cole (who rushed for 92 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 140 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
