Basketball Recap: Justice Comes Up Short

If Justice was riding high fresh off their 49-27 takedown of Annandale last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Justice Wolves took a 50-32 bruising from the Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology Colonials on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 223rd, while the Colonials are ranked 85th).

It was another big night for Kaiden Kerkulah, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 boards for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology. Kerkulah's evening made it seven games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julia Baer, who posted six points and four blocks.

Justice has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Justice will host Lewis at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Thomas Jefferson Science & Technology, they will take on Annandale at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
