Softball Recap: Moorefield Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Moorefield fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Pendleton County on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcat by a score of 7-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcat this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Moorefield's defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-5. As for Pendleton County, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-1.

Looking ahead, Moorefield is taking a road trip to take on Frankfort at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pendleton County, they will host Hedgesville at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
