Baseball Game Preview: North Florida Christian Eagles vs. Cheshire Academy Cats

The North Florida Christian Eagles will face off against the Cheshire Academy Cats at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. North Florida Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Cheshire Academy's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

North Florida Christian easily dispatched Brookwood on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. North Florida Christian fell just short of Maclay by a score of 4-2 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Eagles couldn't push the score so high this time.

North Florida Christian saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jimmy Meeks, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. Kyle Estimond was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Cheshire Academy gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Freedom by a score of 7-4.

Dan Margolies looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Conner Crosbie, who scored two runs while going 4-for-4.

North Florida Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Cheshire Academy, their record now sits at 2-0.
