Softball Recap: Alcorn Central Bears vs. Wheeler Eagles
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Alcorn Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wheeler Eagles, sneaking past 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bears have posted since March 14th.
Sydnee Norman spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on seven hits.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alcorn Central will venture away from home to take on New Albany at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wheeler, they will head out to face off against Thrasher at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
