Basketball Recap: Manual Arts Picks Up 13th Straight Win at Home

Manual Arts had won five straight games and Devin Moody did his part to make it six on Monday. The Manual Arts Toilers took their match with ease, bagging a 97-51 win over the Jefferson Democrats thanks in part to Moody, who dropped a triple-double on 33 points, 16 rebounds, and 11 assists. His afternoon made it 41 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

Dominique Lamb was another key player, dropping a double-double on 20 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Manual Arts' victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 48.1 points. As for Jefferson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manual Arts will square off against West Adams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Manual Arts knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully West Adams likes a good challenge. As for Jefferson, they will challenge Santee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Jefferson has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
