Soccer Recap: Phoebus Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Phoebus was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bethel Bruins by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Phoebus of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Their goal came courtesy of Shawn Anthony, who's now up to seven this season.

Phoebus' defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Bethel, their victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-6-1.

Phoebus has already played their next game, a 6-2 win against Hampton on the 22nd. As for Bethel, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-2 loss against Warwick on the 17th.
