Volleyball Game Preview: St. John Paul II Academy Eagles vs. Somerset Prep

After both having extra time off, the St. John Paul II Academy Eagles and Somerset Prep will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. John Paul II Academy will be strutting in after a win while Somerset Prep will be coming in after a loss.

Last Tuesday, St. John Paul II Academy got the win against West Boca Raton by a conclusive 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.

St. John Paul II Academy not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept West Boca Raton between 16 and 18 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-16, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Somerset Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Calvary Christian Academy.

While Somerset Prep ultimately came up short, they really made Calvary Christian Academy work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-5, 25-7, 25-5.

St. John Paul II Academy's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Somerset Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7.
