Basketball Game Preview: Providence Panthers vs. Butler Bulldogs

Providence is 0-7 against Butler since January of 2022 but things could change on Tuesday. The Providence Panthers will host the Butler Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

It was a proper cat-fight when Providence took on Charlotte Catholic on Friday. The match between Providence and Charlotte Catholic didn't end well, with Providence falling 63-47. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 296th, while the Cougars are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, Butler posted their biggest win since December 17, 2024 on Friday. They blew past Garinger 63-33. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 25 point advantage.

Providence's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14. As for Butler, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
