Football Game Preview: Neumann Celtics vs. St. Petersburg Catholic Barons + How To Watch

The Neumann Celtics will head out to challenge the St. Petersburg Catholic Barons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Neumann comes in on four and St. Petersburg Catholic on 11.

Neumann is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 41-0 win over Southwest Florida Christian. Given the Celtics' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 117th, while the King's are ranked 252nd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Louvens Bazile had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 71 yards and four scores. Those four rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Petit, who picked up 205 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, St. Petersburg Catholic really took it to Evangelical Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 50-14 victory. Fans of the Barons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

St. Petersburg Catholic's win bumped their record up to 11-0. As for Neumann, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

Neumann couldn't quite get it done against St. Petersburg Catholic when the teams last played back in September of 2023 as they fell 27-15. Can the Celtics avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
