Volleyball Preview: North Stafford Wolverines vs. Massaponax Panthers
North Stafford has been away from home for two games now, but on Tuesday they'll finally make their return. They will welcome the Massaponax Panthers at 6:30 p.m. North Stafford will be strutting in after a win while Massaponax will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Saturday, North Stafford was able to grind out a solid victory over Jamestown, taking the game 2-0.
The 2-0 doesn't show just how dominant North Stafford was: they took both sets by at least eight points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-12.
Meanwhile, Massaponax unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of New Kent by a score of 2-1.
Massaponax started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. After all that action, the final score was 14-25, 25-18, 15-9.
North Stafford has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Massaponax, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 7-3.
