South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] had won two straight games and Mary Brewer did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Patriots put the hurt on the Wiley Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory thanks in part to Brewer, who had 12 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to aces, as she's now served two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 26-24, 26-24.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 5-3. As for Wiley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-5.

South Baca [Campo/Vilas/Pritchett] has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Holly on the 18th. As for Wiley, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Caliche on the 19th.
