Jay had won five straight games and Alijah Hubbard did his part to make it six on Friday. The Mustangs claimed a resounding 85-47 victory over the Winn Mavericks for which the team can thank Hubbard, who dropped a double-double with 39 points and 13 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.1 rebounds per game.

Another player making a difference was Raymond Greer III, who posted nine points and three steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Jay's win bumped their record up to 16-13. As for Winn, their loss was their 20th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-28.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jay will take on rival Southwest Legacy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Winn is set to square off against their familiar foe Southside at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
