Recap: Meridian Warriors vs. Highland Rams
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Meridian Warriors can now relate to. They fell to Highland 20-14. Meridian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Highland apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Highland's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jackson Riddle, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Riddle's longest rush was for an incredible 78 yards. Rhidge Barela was in the mix as well, providing Highland with two touchdowns.
Meridian's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Highland, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Meridian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Highland will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Coeur d'Alene at 1:00 p.m. on November 18th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Idaho (Coeur d'Alene is ranked fifth, while Highland is ranked first).
