Football Recap: Ridgeland Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Ridgeland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt a 38-6 loss at the hands of the Gilmer Bobcats. The Panthers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Bobcats from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Kaiden Williams threw for 70 yards on six of 16 attempts. Jamarcus Lewis was his top target, picking up 38 receiving yards. On the ground, Mo Stephens rushed for 33 yards.

Ridgeland's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Gilmer, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Ridgeland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Gilmer, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Douglass at 7:00 p.m. on the 14th. The Astros' defense has only allowed 9.7 points per game this season, so the Bobcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
