Recap: Barnwell Warhorses vs. Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars
The Barnwell Warhorses lost against the Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Barnwell was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 35-34 to Ridgeland-Hardeeville. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Barnwell in their matchups with Ridgeland-Hardeeville: they've now lost six in a row.
Despite the loss, Barnwell saw an underclassman step up: Vashahd Scofield scored 16 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Pickney, who scored eight points.
Barnwell has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Ridgeland-Hardeeville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-8.
Barnwell will head out on the road to take on Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Barnwell in South Carolina (Woodland is ranked 48th, while Barnwell is ranked 240th). As for Ridgeland-Hardeeville, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Edisto at 7:30 p.m.
