Basketball Game Preview: Castle View Sabercats vs. Chaparral Wolverines

Castle View is 2-8 against Chaparral since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Castle View Sabercats will square off against the Chaparral Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Castle View is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Ponderosa 64-22. The Sabercats haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Chaparral against Heritage on Friday as the team secured a 62-34 win. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 20 points or more this season.

Castle View's victory bumped their record up to 6-14. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 11-8.

Castle View came up short against Chaparral in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 44-32. Can Castle View avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
