The two teams will meet in a canine-themed contest at 5:00 p.m. Desert Mountain took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Campo Verde, who comes in off a win.

Campo Verde's defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. Everything went their way against Horizon as Campo Verde made off with a 4-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Coyotes, who have now won four matches by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Horizon with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Samuel Nancollas (2), Johan Tanzer, and Lincoln Alexander.

Meanwhile, Desert Mountain faced Saguaro in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. Desert Mountain fell just short of Saguaro by a score of 2-1.

Campo Verde is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 12 goals over those four games. As for Desert Mountain, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-1.

Campo Verde came out on top in a nail-biter against Desert Mountain in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Campo Verde since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
