Volleyball Game Preview: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes vs. Danville Vikings + How To Watch

The Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes will take on the Danville Vikings at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Georgetown-Ridge Farm's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Danville has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm will bounce into Wednesday's contest after beating Watseka, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Buffaloes came out on top against the Warriors by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm never let Watseka on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Danville didn't have quite enough to beat Urbana on Monday and fell 2-1. While the Vikings didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Tigers 25-21 in the first set.

Danville started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-12, 25-21.

Danville's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, their win bumped their record up to 12-4.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm beat Danville 2-0 when the teams last played back in October of 2023. Will the Buffaloes repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
