Edgewood is 9-1 against Quitman since January of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Edgewood Bulldogs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Quitman Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Edgewood's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Quitman has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Edgewood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 66-60 to Grand Saline.

Meanwhile, Quitman took a blow against Grand Saline on Saturday, falling 72-33.

Edgewood's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 12-12. As for Quitman, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-20.

Edgewood strolled past Quitman when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a score of 46-27. Will Edgewood repeat their success, or does Quitman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
