Softball Recap: Carroll Victorious

Carroll won the last time they faced Winamac and things went their way on Thursday too. The Cougars walked away with a 7-2 victory over the Warriors. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.

Emily Justice was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one run.

In other batting news, Madi Isley was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Carroll's record is now 9-6. As for Winamac, they moved to 16-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Carroll does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winamac, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
