Volleyball Game Preview: Taunton Tigers vs. Franklin Panthers

Taunton is 0-10 against Franklin since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Tigers will venture away from home to take on the Panthers at 5:00 p.m.

Taunton came up short against Attleboro on Thursday, falling 3-0.

Taunton took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-18, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Franklin came tearing into Thursday's match with eight straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Warriors. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since September 5th.

Franklin wouldn't go down easily and took King Philip Regional into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-18, 25-20, 19-25, 15-12.

Franklin's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Taunton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-8.

Taunton couldn't quite get it done against Franklin in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
