Baseball Recap: Lipan Beats Poolville for Their Fourth Straight Win

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Lipan ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Poolville Monarchs 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Indians, who have now won four games in a row.

Tucker Tims and Evan Lott did most of the damage at the plate: Tims got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one double and one RBI, while Lott got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Lott is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games he's played. Brayden Harrison was another key player, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Lipan's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games. As for Poolville, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-7.

Lipan will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Monarchs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
