Baseball Recap: Forestview Triumphs

Forestview won the last time they faced Ashbrook and things went their way on Thursday too. Forestview walked away with a 10-5 victory over Ashbrook. That's two games straight that the Jaguars have won by exactly five runs.

Camden Tarbush was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over 5.2 innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Tarbush was also big at the plate, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Forestview's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Henry Jarman, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Martin Liwosz, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The win got Forestview back to even at 5-5. As for Ashbrook, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-9.
