South Mecklenburg extended their winning streak to six on Friday, bumping them up to 6-1. They blew past the West Mecklenburg Hawks 45-20. The result was nothing new for the Sabres, who have now won four games by 25 points or more so far this season.

South Mecklenburg didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Brody Evans and Amir Gillispie.

As for West Mecklenburg, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-7. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked their highest-scoring contest to date.

Although West Mecklenburg took the loss, they still got scores from Tyson Stancil, Shawn Blackshear, and Kamren Moore.

South Mecklenburg and West Mecklenburg will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next matchups. The next time the Sabres see the field they'll take on Hough at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. As for West Mecklenburg, their break will end when they face Myers Park at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th.
