Given Victory Christian Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 190th, while Southview Christian is ranked 444th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Gabriel Thompson, who scored 31 points. The match was his sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Lloyd Hampton, who scored 14 points.
Victory Christian Academy pushed their record up to 6-1 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Southview Christian, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
