Basketball Recap: Marshall Takes a Loss

After flying high against New Bloomfield last Wednesday, Marshall came back down to earth. The Marshall Owls came up short against the Versailles Tigers on Friday, falling 51-27.

Versailles got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kylee Richey out in front who posted 16 points. Another player making a difference was Brooke Anderson, who put up 13 points.

Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Versailles, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1.

Marshall has already played their next contest, a 66-31 defeat against Knob Noster on the 9th. As for Versailles, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-36 victory against Laquey on the 10th.
