Baseball Game Preview: East Troy Trojans vs. Jefferson Eagles

For the second straight game, East Troy will face off against Jefferson. The Trojans are taking a road trip to face off against the Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday.

East Troy fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Jefferson on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 5-1 to the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

East Troy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Connor Sickler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one double. Brayden Phillips also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

The win made it two in a row for Jefferson and bumps their season record up to 6-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for East Troy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
