Basketball Game Preview: Bishop Manogue Miners vs. Reno Huskies

The Bishop Manogue Miners will face off against the Reno Huskies at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Bishop Manogue is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Spanish Springs, who was ranked fifth at the time (Bishop Manogue was ranked 22nd). Bishop Manogue took a 60-42 bruising from Spanish Springs on Tuesday. The Miners were down 51-25 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Reno unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 59-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of Damonte Ranch.

Reno's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Bishop Manogue, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-10.

Bishop Manogue was able to grind out a solid win over Reno in their previous matchup on January 8th, winning 60-48. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Manogue since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
