Soccer Game Preview: Crosby vs. Splendora

The Crosby Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Splendora Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Splendora will square off against a team with plenty of momentum: Crosby extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over Dayton. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Crosby's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Dayton are ranked 649th).

Meanwhile, Splendora kept a clean sheet against Pasadena on Tuesday. They blew past the Eagles 5-0. The win continues a trend for Splendora in their matchups with Pasadena: they've now won three in a row.

Crosby's victory bumped their record up to 13-6. As for Splendora, their win bumped their record up to 8-9-3.

Everything went Crosby's way against Splendora in their previous matchup back in January, as Crosby made off with an 8-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
