Softball Recap: Interlake Takes a Loss

If Interlake was feeling good fresh off their 14-7 takedown of Foster on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Saints lost 16-4 to the Kentridge Chargers on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Saints have suffered since March 24th.

Interlake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dorah Wang, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run. Karelin Fuentes also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Interlake's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Kentridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.

Interlake is taking a road trip to face off against Tyee at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Titans have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season. As for Kentridge, they will host Auburn at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chargers are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
