Soccer Game Preview: Mountain Crest vs. Brighton

The Mountain Crest Mustangs will hit the road for the first time this season to take on the Brighton Bengals at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mountain Crest had taken Skyridge down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Friday. Mountain Crest fell just short of Skyridge by a score of 3-2. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Brighton had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 2 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Bulldogs a 2-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Bengals have won by exactly two goals.

Parker Clegg and Camden Young scored both of Brighton's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Mountain Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Brighton, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
