Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bluff City Gray Wolves as they made off with a 72-47 win. The Phoenix haven't had any issues with the Gray Wolves recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

When it comes to explaining why Bluff City lost, don't look at Cordarrel York. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kai Horne, who posted 11 points and four steals.

Bluff City's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Memphis Academy of Science and Engineering has already played their next matchup, a 64-39 win against Rossville Christian Academy on the 20th. As for Bluff City, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 77-63 defeat against City University School of Liberal Arts on the 20th.
