While Owosso's win against Brandon wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Trojans sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 victory over the Blackhawks on Monday. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Blackhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Ryan Maier was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Cyril Thompson, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Owosso's victory bumped their record up to 20-6-2. As for Brandon, they now have a losing record of 5-6.

Owosso will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Blackhawks: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
