Football Recap: Highland Park Takes a Loss

Highland Park played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the West Texas Comanches 58-6. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-6.

This is the second loss in a row for Highland Park and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for West Texas, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Highland Park will square off against rival Sunray at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Texas is set to take on their familiar foe Panhandle at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Comanches 12.2, the Panthers 10.2) so any points scored will be well earned.
