Softball Recap: Saint Gertrude Gators vs. St. Catherine's Saints

Saint Gertrude won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They lost 7-1 to the St. Catherine's Saints. Saint Gertrude has not had much luck with St. Catherine's recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

S Sims made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-3 with a double and an RBI.

On St. Catherine's side, Kinnady Branch made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off six hits (and not a single walk). Branch has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in 11 consecutive pitching appearances. Branch was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.
