Volleyball Recap: Castle View Sabercats vs. Pueblo West Cyclones
Castle View lost against Pueblo West back in October of 2021, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Castle View Sabercats took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pueblo West Cyclones. The Sabercats haven't had much luck with the Cyclones recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Castle View couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Pueblo West a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-13, 31-29.
Caleigh Sommers paced Castle View's offense, picking up nine kills. Sommers got some help from
Kaiya Gilbert and her 18 assists.
Pueblo West can attribute much of their success to Bricelyn Baudino, who had eight digs.
Castle View's defeat dropped their record down to 12-11. As for Pueblo West, the victory was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-2.
Castle View didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Lakewood on the 9th. Pueblo West has also already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Legacy on the 10th.
