North Platte wouldn't let Norfolk keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. North Platte can thank Jake Kinkaid and Joneson for forcing both of them. That's the most rushing yards Joneson has posted since back in September of 2023.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, North Platte was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 356 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norfolk only rushed for 103.
Lincoln Northeast's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for North Platte, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Lincoln Northeast took a serious blow against North Platte in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, falling 75-22. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lincoln Northeast was down 54-9.
