Basketball Recap: Lincoln County Panthers vs. Scott Skyhawks
Lincoln County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Scott Skyhawks, falling 92-63. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Skyhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 60-46 back in December of 2024.

Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eli Smith, who dropped a double-double with 24 points and ten boards. The game was Smith's fourth in a row with at least 22 points. Another player making a difference was Drew Banks, who went 8-for-13 to rack up 19 points.
Tyler Walls had an outrageously good game for Scott as he shot 57% from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points and four steals. Those four steals gave Walls a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Brown, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points.
Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Scott, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 12-8.
Lincoln County has already played their next contest, a 55-52 defeat against Sissonville on the 27th. As for Scott, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 71-42 win against Braxton County on the 27th.
