Basketball Recap: Columbia River Extends Winning Streak to Ten

Columbia River waltzed into their match on Friday with nine straight wins... but they left with ten. They claimed a resounding 71-29 victory over the Hockinson Hawks. The Rapids have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 24 points or more this season.

Columbia River's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 32.5 points. As for Hockinson, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Columbia River will challenge Woodland at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Columbia River likes a good challenge. As for Hockinson, they will head out on the road to square off against Washougal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hockinson is facing Washougal at the right time seeing as Washougal is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
