Softball Recap: Stuttgart Ricebirds vs. DeWitt Dragons
Stuttgart was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 21-5 walloping at the hands of the DeWitt Dragons. Stuttgart was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as DeWitt apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.
Lily Griffin made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with a home run and three RBI.
Stuttgart's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for DeWitt, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-2.
Stuttgart will head out on the road to take on Crossett at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for DeWitt, they will be playing at home against Drew Central at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
