Volleyball Recap: Gordon-Rushville Comes Up Short

Gordon-Rushville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bison Cardinals. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Mikaylee Campbell paced Gordon-Rushville's offense, picking up eight kills. Campbell really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with 14.

Gordon-Rushville's loss dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Bison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-8.

Gordon-Rushville has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Wall on the 4th. As for Bison, they will be playing at home against McLaughlin at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
